Society of German Natural Scientists and Physicians

On September 30, 1958, the Board of the Society of German Naturalists and Physicians signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

The General Assembly of German Natural Scientists and Physicians met in the Wiesbaden Kurhaus back in September 1932.

Just like back then, prominent scientists signed the city's Golden Book on September 30, 1958 to mark the 100th meeting.

In addition to the board members Bauer, Heckmann, Oehlkers and Mietzsch, the Nobel Prize winners Butenandt, Hahn, Warburg and Kuhn as well as the foreign guest speakers Segrè from Berkley, Tuppy from Vienna, Morgan from London and Haurowitz from Bloomington signed the book.

In his speech, Lord Mayor Mix emphasized the importance of the Society of German Natural Scientists and Physicians and expressed his delight that Wiesbaden had been chosen as the congress city for the anniversary event.
