Women's Representative to the Lord Mayor

On July 3, 1990, the Women's Representative signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden with the Lord Mayor.

The small difference between men and women in political discourse was the topic of the event organized by the Women's Representative to the Lord Mayor of the State Capital of Wiesbaden and the Society for the German Language on July 3, 1990 in Wiesbaden City Hall. The focus of the discussion was the linguistic equality of women.

In his speech, Lord Mayor Achim Exner explained that Wiesbaden was making efforts in the areas of education and social affairs to create the conditions for equal rights in the workplace, management functions and politics.

However, looking at the Golden Book, in which only two women compared to 76 men have been immortalized in its 89-year history, there is still some catching up to do.

Bundestag President Prof. Dr. Rita Süßmuth and Prof. Dr. Heide Pfarr, Senator for Federal Affairs of the State of Berlin, welcomed Exner's noble intentions and hoped that they would be put into practice in the future.

The ladies then signed the city's Golden Book.
