Protestant Working Group of the CDU/CSU

On October 5, 1962, the Protestant working group of the CDU/CSU signed the Golden Book of the city of Wiesbaden.

The Protestant Working Group of the CDU/CSU was founded in Siegen in 1952 by the then President of the Bundestag, Hermann Ehlers.

To this day, the aim of the association is to bring Protestant thought and Protestant convictions into the Union parties. At the same time, Protestant Christians should be encouraged to become politically active.

At their annual meeting, the members gathered in Wiesbaden in October 1962. The city council welcomed the politicians to a reception in the town hall on October 5. The chairman of the working group, Federal Foreign Minister Gerhard Schröder, expressed his thanks for the friendly reception and then signed the city's Golden Book with his companions.
