German Lawyers' Conference
On September 19, 1978, the Executive Board of the German Jurists' Conference signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
More than 3,000 lawyers took part in the 52nd German Lawyers' Congress in the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden in September 1978. In his speech at the reception hosted by the city council in the town hall, the conference president, Attorney General Günther Weinmann, recalled the 18th German Lawyers' Congress, which had also been held in the spa town in September 1886.
On behalf of the city, Lord Mayor Rudi Schmitt was honored that the lawyers had once again chosen Wiesbaden as the venue for the conference. In his speech, he also welcomed the international participants who had registered for the various discussions and lectures.
Conference President Weinmann then signed the city's Golden Book, followed by Federal Minister of Justice Hans-Jochen Vogel and a representative of the Austrian Minister of Justice and the President of the Lawyers' Conference of the Alpine Republic.
