Anne-Sophie mother
On August 24, 1998, Anne-Sophie Mutter signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
Anne-Sophie Mutter was born on June 29, 1963 in Rheinfelden, Baden. She took her first violin lessons at the age of five.
In 1977, at the age of 13, she made her debut at the Salzburg Whitsun Concert under star conductor Herbert von Karajan. In the years that followed, she rose to become one of the most successful violinists in the world.
The artist is a regular guest in Wiesbaden during the Rheingau Music Festival. On August 24, 1998, Lord Mayor Diehl received the violinist in the ballroom of the town hall before her concert in the Kurhaus. He paid tribute to her musical work and presented her with a scarf with the city's lilies and a miniature violin as a gift. Mother commented with a wink that it was cute but unfortunately unplayable.
She then signed the city's Golden Book.
