The thalhaus Theater, Nerotal 18, is a cabaret venue that is home to a unique variety of spoken word and musical cabaret, comedy, variety, theater, jazz and magic. With its two stages, three gallery rooms and a café, it is also used for weddings, family celebrations and corporate events.

The gallery in the thalhaus theater also regularly exhibits contemporary works of art. The theater, which was awarded the Cultural Prize of the City of Wiesbaden, was founded in 1977 as the "Hinterhaus" and was Wiesbaden's first independent cultural initiative. In 1998, it moved under a new name to the former "Kurhaus Bad Nerothal" hotel in the idyllic Nero Valley.
