Film music concert

On Saturday, May 31, the Rhine-Main Symphony Orchestra invites you to the open-air concert "Broadway meets Hollywood" at 5 pm in the castle garden of the historic castle ruins of Sonnenberg. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the multi-purpose hall in Auringen, starting at 6 pm.

The Rhine-Main Symphony Orchestra invites you to its ninth open-air concert in Wiesbaden. With over 80 musicians, the orchestra, which is well-known in the region, will be playing in the magnificent setting of the castle garden of the historic ruins of Sonnenberg Castle to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

What would a movie be without music? A musical without its music? Unthinkable. But music without a screen or stage? Wonderful! The images are brought to life in your mind's eye - by the music alone. In this concert, world successes from the glamorous realm of Broadway musicals and Hollywood films come together. Under the direction of Christian Ferel, the Rhine-Main Symphony Orchestra will perform "Star Wars", "Cats", "The Lion King" and "Forrest Gump", among others - the concert stage an imaginary cinema and theater hall.

After the last concert, the press wrote "Entertaining and of high musical quality" and "The concert thrilled the audience to such an extent that there were minutes of applause and standing ovations at the end".

About the orchestra

The Rhine-Main Symphony Orchestra was founded in 2015. The orchestra is now well-known throughout the Rhine-Main region and regularly performs in Wiesbaden, Ingelheim, Bad Kreuznach, Königstein and other cities in the region.

Excellent!" series

In the "Excellent!" series, which was launched last year, selected competition winners are recognized and given the opportunity to present themselves to a wide audience in a fresh and passionate way. The Rheingau Music Festival sees its task not only in bringing the greatest international artists to the region, but also in taking responsibility for the next generation of artists.
