The Murnau-Filmtheater is located in the Deutsches Filmhaus in the immediate vicinity of the Schlachthof cultural center and Wiesbaden Central Station. It is run by the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation. The program offers film classics and rarities from the holdings of the Murnau Foundation and other archives as well as current festival and arthouse cinema. The Voluntary Self-Regulation of the Film Industry (FSK), which is based in the Deutsches Filmhaus, also uses the movie theater for age checks on cinema and video films.
