For over 30 years, the Friends of Films in the Palace have organized a series of screenings at Biebrich Palace with an average of two screenings per month. All genres are shown: feature films, documentaries, experimental and animated films, each in the unaltered original version, usually with German subtitles. "Filme im Schloss" is organized in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the City of Wiesbaden and the German Film and Media Rating (FBW).
Film im Schloss is also the venue for the Wiesbaden International Festival of Animated Film alongside the Caligari FilmBühne.
