Protestant Churches in the east of Wiesbaden

The Protestant Church of Bierstadt is the second-oldest structure in the city of Wiesbaden after the Heathens' Wall.

After several years of discussing an expansion of the old church, on 3 July 1892 the decision was made to build a new one.

The Baroque Church of Igstadt was consecrated in the year 1728, after the previous church had been pulled down because of its dilapidated state and lack of space.

The "resting place for the soul" is located on the A3 Cologne-Frankfurt Autobahn between the exit for Niedernhausen and the Wiesbaden intersection.

This church was built under the supervision of Johann Jakob Bager and was consecrated on 20 August 1730.

From 1718 to 1721, the dilapidated church was torn down and rebuilt as a bigger church; the choir and the tower remained unchanged.
