22nd Twinkling Star Christmas Market

The 22nd Twinkling Star Christmas Market on the Schlossplatz and in front of the Marktkirche will once again invite you to enjoy the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle in an atmospheric setting with numerous sales and catering stands.

All decorated in the same shades of blue and gold, the stalls are home to art and craft treasures, many of which are produced on site.

The festive and atmospheric lighting of the shooting star market will be provided by 21 illuminated lilies and the four illuminated gates at the entrances to the market. There will also be 20 small lilies in the pedestrian zone and 51 along Wilhelmstrasse. Stars, snowflakes and fairy lights in trees will also provide a glittering effect.

The varied range of foods on offer includes game specialities, Kaiserschmarren, soup, barbecue specialities, Dinnete and potato patties from Puffer Christ’l. Mulled wine, such as that available at the Christmas pyramid near the Marktkirche, is of course an absolute must.

The Children Market can be found on Luisenplatz. A varied programme will be offered there again in winter 2024/25. It is open from 26 November 2024 to 12 January 2025 from Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 8 pm and on Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day (24 to 26 December), New Year's Eve (31 December) and New Year's Day (1 January 2024) are excluded. The Kindersternschnuppenmarkt will be closed on these days.

In the 2024/2025 winter season, the bowling green in front of the Kurhaus will once again be transformed into Germany's largest mobile ice rink from 26 November to 12 January. Ice times and curling rinks as well as tickets for the shows can already be booked online.
