The district of Wiesbaden-Nordost has around 23,000 inhabitants and is one of the most attractive areas of the city.
One of Wiesbaden's greenest districts consists of around two thirds forest, with wine growing in a prime location on the Neroberg being a special feature. Wiesbaden's local mountain, which is best reached by taking the Nerobergbahn cable car, offers plenty of leisure activities in addition to a climbing forest, restaurants and the Opelbad - with probably the best view of the city. Active hikers will find numerous well-signposted trails for tours around Wiesbaden or the Taunus.
