Summer wedding of Selina & Dennis
"We can recommend both the location and the support without reservation."
Our wedding date
31.08.2019
Planning & lead time
We enquired about the hunting lodge 2 years in advance and booked it about 1.5 years before the wedding.
This is how we celebrated
The free wedding ceremony took place behind the castle. Here we had a stage with lots of benches and a corner for the live singer. There was a wedding arch for the bride and groom. In front of the stage was a table with fans, handkerchiefs, sunscreen, cold drinks and ice-cold guest towels for refreshment. (It was very hot that day) We set up dome tents and lounge furniture in front of the castle. Standing tables and bar tables in the middle for snacks and champagne receptions.
We had a coffee duck in front of the castle, as well as a pallet bar for the midnight snack - Gyros Grill. There was also a whisky & cigar bar outside, which went down very well with the men.
On the first floor, we used all the rooms as follows:
- In the right-hand section, we had various stations, including a photo box, candy bar, lemonade bar, cocktail bar, coffee bar and seating.
- In the rotunda, we had a table plan for the dinner on the upper floor, as well as additional seating. The gift table was also located there.
- At the back of the ground floor was our dance floor with a DJ booth and a few bar tables in the corners.
- In the left part (behind the kitchen) was our kids area. (was also very popular with the adults) :) Here there were beanbags, small tables with coloring materials and various toys. Toys. There was also a Playstation station, a RedBull Playseat and table football.
For the little ones there were hula hoops, skipping ropes and a drinks fridge with Capri Suns.
The upper floor was only intended for dinner.
The party took place exclusively on the ground floor and outside.
Our ideas & tips for you
✔ The hunting lodge leaves nothing to be desired in terms of space. Each room can be used individually with lots of creativity.
✔ We opted for a shuttle service for the guests so that everyone could celebrate carefree and nobody had to worry about how to get home after the party.
✔ We had a drone that took mega great shots of the location & wedding ceremony from above.
Highlight/favorite moment of the day
The highlight was of course arriving at the venue, where my dad was waiting to welcome me. The walk to the groom's house, accompanied by live music, was very emotional.
Tim's department created a harmonious and romantic atmosphere with their singing. Our wedding officiant made the ceremony so personal, but also humorous and touching, that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
