Planning & lead time

We enquired about the hunting lodge in August 2017 and booked it directly, 10 months in advance.

This is how we celebrated

We used the entire grounds of Jagdschloss Platte on our wedding day. It started with our outdoor wedding ceremony on the meadow at the back of the hunting lodge. Under parasols, with beautiful decorations and a view of the greenery, we were able to say "I do" in front of our friends and families.
Afterwards, we went for photos in the surrounding area (forest, meadow) and our guests gathered in front of the hunting lodge (parking lot side) for a champagne reception.
For our dinner we went to the upper area, after the wedding cake and our wedding dance we went back with the whole party to the lower area, where a band was already waiting for us and started the party. We set up the separate room with tables and chairs to give our guests the opportunity to sit down. The rest of the dessert and the midnight snack were also served here. The dance floor, the band and a photo box were set up in the front area. We used the rotunda for our candy bar - a great highlight.

Our tips for you

The Jagdschloss Platte is the perfect place to personalize your wedding day. The beautiful, romantic location gives couples the opportunity to spend the day there from start to finish, so there's no need to change venues.

✔ Start celebrating as early as possible. You never want the day at the hunting lodge to end. Enjoy every moment in this romantic setting and celebrate until the sun is back in the sky.

Highlight/favorite moment of the day

The whole day was an absolute highlight for us. We like to reminisce and it's difficult to pick out individual points here. However, I would like to share a very special moment with you.
We were able to say our personal vows to each other in the open air. In the company of our loved ones, surrounded by beautiful decorations and in a perfect atmosphere, it was an absolute goosebump moment that not only we but also our families and friends will remember forever.

Breakdowns, bad luck & mishaps

Our little failure on an otherwise more than perfect day, but one that we can laugh about, was the mother of the bride. Unfortunately, one of the very young guests had the contents of a diaper on her beautiful dress before the official photos ;-) Luckily she had a spare dress with her and there are photos of the getting ready in her dress.
