The exterior of the Luther Church with its majestic main tower and the high roof remind one of Luther's hymn "A mighty fortress is our God". The builder, Friedrich Pützer, not only adopted the requirements of the Wiesbaden Programme in his composition of the altar, pulpit and choir loft in 1911, but selected a structure which draws the observer's attention to the front; this is reinforced by a slight slope towards the altar.

The monogram of Christ shines down from the zenith of the triumphal arch between alpha and omega as the symbol of God's gracious presence, which is also reflected in the portico in front of the main porch and in the christening chapel. The brightly coloured motif of grapevines, which stretches from the ceiling of the christening chapel to the bronze relief on the front of the altar to the net vault and the walls of the church, is full of religious significance. For many years, this painting had been painted over, until the painting by the Linnemann Brothers was restored in 1992. The Luther Church is the church with the most balanced acoustics in Wiesbaden.
