As soon as you enter this church its name becomes obvious: a depiction of the Trinity towers over a collection of holy figures. The architect of Trinity Church was Prof. Ludwig Becker of Mainz, the Mainz cathedral master builder. In line with "late historicism", he took up historical shapes and combined these in new ways; he regarded the "mixture of styles" as an attempt to go beyond the mere copy of historical examples. In adaptation to the early Gothic style, cubic structures determine the external appearance of this church, whose turreted silhouette creates picturesque views depending on the viewer's location. Plain buttresses without pinnacles support the cruciform rib vault of the interior. The building is made of grey sandstone. A monumental carved triumphal cross is suspended above the altar, which was consecrated on 15 June 2003. The four pictures which are now exhibited in the choir come from the original high altar of 1919, which was originally intended to be temporary.
