The most important highlights in one hour

The meeting point is at the Kurhaus, in the 19th century the heart of the up-and-coming cosmopolitan spa town. Here you will learn what the inscription "Aquis Mattiacis" is all about and why Schiller, who was never in Wiesbaden, nevertheless stands on the Warmer Damm in front of the State Theater.

The tour continues to Wilhelmstraße - also affectionately known as "Rue", which every year in July becomes the scene of Germany's largest street festival. This is where the bus lane was invented!

Which is the tallest building and which is the oldest? You will find out on the market square as well as the story around the sculpture "Der Schweiger".

An absolute must is a visit to the Mauergasse - Wiesbaden's pleasure mile with wine and champagne bars and the chocolaterie "Lily's Story", which of course also offers the famous pineapple tarts.
The tactile model in the pedestrian zone offers an exciting view of the city from above. Here you can see why the city center is also called the "historical pentagon", what is hidden behind the facades and how the building complex "the little ship" got its name.

On the way, we will give you many more tips to stay, enjoy, stroll, explore and of course come back!

City Tour "Natürlich Wiesbaden"

Meeting point is at the Kurhaus. As a prelude to the tour, you will learn about the ideas of Ferdinand Heyl, Wiesbaden's first spa director, which turned the present-day state capital into one of the leading spa resorts of its time, and why the Nizzaplätzchen is called Nizzaplätzchen.

During the walk through the park, which is laid out as an English landscape garden, unique views of the Kurhaus and the stately houses located at the Kurpark open up again and again.

The tour continues to the 5-star superior Grand Hotel Nassauer Hof, which has hosted many celebrities such as Tsar Nicholas II, Audrey Hepburn and the Dalai Lama since it opened in 1813.

Unique in Europe: In the spring quarter in the city center, 26 hot springs bubble to the surface from a depth of around 2,000 meters. A taste of the hottest, at 67 degrees, is available at the Kochbrunnen. You can also find out what the "Mattiac spheres" are all about and what exclusive offers made the Hotel Rose, which was located on Kranzplatz at the time, a hot spot for pampered spa guests.

The Hotel Schwarzer Bock, one of the oldest grand hotels in Europe, gives an impression of the luxury that surrounded spa guests at the time. And then it gets mysterious again: What is the Ingelheim Room with its magnificent wood paneling all about?

We make a final stop at the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme, which offers bathing luxury at the highest level.

Of course, we will not leave you without more tips on where to stay, enjoy, stroll, explore and, of course, come back!
