TriWiCon emerged on January 1, 2009 as a trade fair, congress and tourism holding company from the spa operations of the state capital of Wiesbaden.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the state capital of Wiesbaden, TriWiCon assumed a holding function for the operating companies (Wiesbaden Marketing GmbH, Kurhaus Wiesbaden GmbH and Rhein-Main-Hallen GmbH; since 2019: Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH) from 2009 and is responsible for higher-level tasks such as accounting, purchasing, IT, facility management and personnel matters. TriWiCon's areas of activity also include the coordination and processing of visitor contributions and the leasing of the vineyard on the Neroberg. In addition, it is the owner of the RheinMain CongressCenter, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden and the Jagdschloss Platte.

TriWiCon currently (as at September 2024) has 41 employees, with its headquarters in the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.
