Environment & Economy in Wiesbaden - ÖKOPROFIT program
ÖKOPROFIT is a program for corporate environmental and climate protection in which measures are developed and implemented to improve environmental, climate and sustainability performance and create an initial carbon footprint.
With the operational consulting and networking program Ökoprofit, the state capital of Wiesbaden supports companies and institutions of all sizes and industries in getting started with environmental management and in making their processes more climate-friendly and resource-efficient. The aim is to develop an initial climate balance sheet and a strategy with steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and conserve resources based on an inventory. With external support, a program of measures is drawn up and implemented for the areas of energy, water, waste, mobility and procurement. The aspects of motivation and communication are also important elements of the program.
The Ökoprofit-Klub connects companies that want to continuously improve their environmental and climate footprint as well as their sustainability performance and strive for recertification as an Ökoprofit company.
Wiesbaden was the first Hessian municipality to launch the Ökoprofit consulting program in 2000. Since then, a total of 149 companies and institutions have participated in 15 rounds of Ökoprofit, and the "Wiesbaden ÖKOPROFIT company" certification has been awarded 450 times.
The 54 Ökoprofit companies in the 15th Ökoprofit round 2022/2023, for example, save around
- 1.4 million kilowatt hours of electricity
- 3.2 million kilowatt hours of thermal energy

Our participation
TriWiCon and WICM GmbH have been participating in the ECOPROFIT program with the RMCC, Kurhaus Wiesbaden and Jagdschloss Platte event venues since 2017. As part of the program, we receive in-depth information on sustainable corporate management topics in workshops and on-site consultation appointments. We are continuing to develop our environmental program and are being prepared for another award. In addition to exchanging experiences with other companies, our participation helps us to consolidate the idea of environmental and climate protection in the long term and integrate important measures into our corporate and operational processes.
With our successful participation in the 15th Ecoprofit Round 2022/2023, the ecological optimization of operations at our event locations was once again recognized.
With our other locations - our offices in Friedrichstraße and the Tourist Information - we participated as newcomers in the 15th Ecoprofit round and were also recognized.
