Wiesbaden - Your city!
Become part of the team and help us to make Wiesbaden even more attractive as a tourist destination and congress city.
Wiesbaden offers...
... the best location!
Wiesbaden, the capital of the state of Hesse, is located in the center of Germany in the Rhine-Main metropolitan area, making it one of Germany's metropolitan regions.
And for good reason, because:
- Wiesbaden is not only a green city in the heart of the Rhine-Main region, but also an economic and cultural center - and the second largest city in Hesse after Frankfurt
- the direct ICE connection to Wiesbaden main station gets you from A to B very quickly
- the Rheingau and Taunus recreational areas are right on your doorstep and provide an extra dose of quality of life and activity
- the direct proximity to Frankfurt am Main International Airport takes you anywhere in the world via direct flight
- the cosmopolitan city of Frankfurt am Main and the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital and university city of Mainz are just a few minutes' drive away and also offer you plenty of leisure activities
... the short distances within the city
Wiesbaden is the perfect mix of relaxed city life. The main train station, the city center with many shopping opportunities, numerous cultural institutions, the RheinMain CongressCenter, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, cafés, wine bars and a variety of beautiful parks are all within walking distance of each other. Without a car and without long journeys, all this can be explored and discovered wonderfully on foot.
The four locations of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, the RMCC, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden, the Tourist Information and the offices in Friedrichstraße are all a) centrally located in the city center and b) within walking distance of each other.
... simply more quality of life!
With its many parks, well-preserved old buildings, iconic buildings, the Neroberg, the wine bars and coffee roasters in the old town and its many suburbs, all of which have their own attractions, Wiesbaden simply offers maximum quality of life.
The immediate proximity to the Rheingau, a recreational area and one of the most important wine regions in Germany, also plays a major role: in just a few minutes' drive - whether by train or car - a cultural landscape opens up directly on the Rhine with numerous award-winning hiking trails, a large number of renowned wineries, romantic castles, famous palaces, historic monastery walls and overgrown vineyards.
... and lots and lots of activity!
There's always something going on in Wiesbaden, its suburbs and the Rheingau! Our festivals in particular are fixed dates in the calendars of many Wiesbaden residents and tourists:
- Theatrium (June)
- Rheingau Wine Week (August)
- Rheingau Music Festival (June - September)
- City Festival (September)
- Sternschnuppen Market (November - December)
In addition, three large event venues, the Kurhaus - Wiesbaden's "parlor" -, the RheinMain CongressCenter and the Jagdschloss Platte regularly offer exciting events, be it concerts, shows or trade fairs.
In addition, there is of course a wide range of active and leisure activities in the green city, such as
- Neroberg climbing forest: with ten courses at different heights, located on the edge of the city forest and directly on the Neroberg
- Rheinsteig hiking trail: a 320 km long premium hiking trail between Wiesbaden, Koblenz and Bonn, divided into 21 stages - 8 of which pass through Wiesbaden and the Rheingau region
- Wiesbadener Nordwand: ultra-modern indoor climbing hall covering 2,500 square meters for professionals or beginners
- Cycling tours: towards Rheingau, Frankfurt or to the excursion points Hohe Wurzel, Eiserne Hand or Schläferskopf, Kellerskopf and Platte
