Easter market 2025

From Friday to Sunday, April 4 to 6, the traditional Easter market in the city centre will once again offer a varied program with an arts and crafts and fabric market, Sunday shopping and a children's program.

At the 23rd Easter market, guests can expect a large selection of handicrafts, textiles and decorative and unusual gift ideas at 70 stands. Visitors can also look forward to high-quality delicacies and culinary delights.

Open Sunday and fabric market

On Sunday, April 6, the stores and businesses in the historic pentagon will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm. The Easter market on Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm will be complemented by the fabric market on the Dern'schen grounds. Here, fans of the art of sewing will find a huge range of fabrics and sewing accessories at more than 100 stands.

Children's program

Two children's carousels will be set up on Mauritiusplatz and one in front of the Luisenforum. Walk acts with Easter bunnies will welcome visitors to the Easter market with sweet surprises, and on Sunday two colorful, spring-like stilt walk acts will make children's eyes light up. On Sunday, Mauritiusplatz will be firmly in the hands of children between 11 am and 5 pm. The Biberbau promises lots of fun for children with its wooden spinning top workshop, and the little ones can make various wooden crafts. The popular face painting station will also be there.

Premiere: Free ring shuttle

A new feature is a ring shuttle bus for visitors to the city center on Sundays when the shops are open. The service is free of charge. The shuttle bus runs from 12.30 to 18.30 during the opening hours of the stores in an approximately 20-minute loop around and through the historic pentagon. It will take you from the municipal and private parking lots in the city center to the stores or back to your vehicle with your purchases at stops marked as such.

Free use of bus & train

In order to make longer journeys to the open Sunday stress-free and climate-friendly, the Mayor's Department is financing the free use of buses and trains throughout the city of Wiesbaden. Anyone coming to the Easter market by bike in a sustainable and climate-friendly way can park their bike in the bicycle garage on the Dern'schen site: The garage is guarded free of charge during the event.

Bike+ milestone

The 1.5 million kilometers have been exceeded, now we are on the way to 1,555,000 kilometers together! In cooperation, the Environmental Agency and Scholz & Volkmer are inviting "Rad+ App users" and all those interested in cycling to celebrate reaching this milestone. Come along to the Campus Ehemalige Städtische Kliniken, Schwalbacher Straße 72, where you can get your bike ready for the summer at our hands-on workshop. You can also look forward to a small flea market, high-quality goodies from Rad+ and delicious cakes and drinks. You can also pay with kilometers.
