Open-air cinemas
Cinema in the open air can be enjoyed at the open-air harbor cinema "Schiff" and at the Bilderwerfer in the Reisinger-Anlagen.
Ship open-air cinema
SCHIFF stands for a special open-air cinema experience, right on the water, with selected films from all over the world. It takes place at the SCHIFF at the Reduit in Mainz-Kastel and at the Schierstein harbor in summer. The films start at sunset, around 8 p.m. (admission: 7 p.m.).
Cinema! Free and outside
The Wiesbaden Open Air Film Festival in the Reisinger Anlagen was launched in its current form in 1998 by Ronald Meynen. He could not imagine a Wiesbaden open air film festival in the Reisinger Anlagen with an entrance fee and a fence.
He was still the driving force behind the "Bilderwerfer" until the 2012 film festival, putting together the programme, negotiating with film distributors, organizing the meadow, the equipment and inspiring the helpers. Ronald died of cancer in the summer of 2012.
