Museum Reinhard Ernst

The Reinhard Ernst Museum presents 860 paintings and sculptures from the field of abstract art on around 2,000 square meters of exhibition space. The focus is on German and European post-war art, Japanese art and American Expressionism.

The Reinhard Ernst Museum can be found in Wilhelmstraße.

With the "mre" (Museum Reinhard Ernst), the international art scene has gained a new world-class museum with a focus on abstract art. Some of the masterpieces on display here, dating from after 1945 to the present day, are being presented to the public for the first time.

The first presentation of the collection is a selection of 60 items, including paintings and sculptures by Tony Cragg, Helen Frankenthaler, Karl Otto Götz, Hans Hartung, Yūichi Inoue, Lee Krasner, Morris Louis, Tal R, Judit Reigl, Pierre Soulages, Tōkō Shinoda, Frank Stella, Atsuko Tanaka and Wolfgang Tillmans.

Day ticket to the museum

This neighborhood discount is valid on the day of purchase of the respective admission ticket as well as on the following regular opening day. Members of the "Freunde des Museum Wiesbaden e.V." and holders of the Museum Reinhard Ernst annual pass also receive reduced admission at the ticket offices of the respective cooperation partners upon presentation of their annual passes and ID cards. Tickets can only be purchased on site at the respective museums.
