Cultural jungle
Our tip for balmy summer nights: from June to September, this amphitheater in the middle of the forest becomes a stage for plays, cabaret or unplugged concerts.
Less than 3 kilometers northwest of Wiesbaden's market square , you enter what is probably the city's most unusual theater via a narrow path:
A small sandy square in the middle of the forest, converted into a kind of amphitheater. A setting like Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream - especially in the evening, when the spotlights cast colorful spots on trees and bushes. The surrounding nature is often incorporated into the plays in the cultural jungle; the permanent ensemble rewrites literary and film classics for this special stage. Cabaret, concerts and other events also take place here in the foothills of the Taunus from June to September.
