This is the starting point for an hour and a half walk that takes you to the city's main sights. On the way, the app not only shows the route on a map. Historical photos and audio clips also provide deeper insights into Wiesbaden's past at a dozen or so locations.

Anyone standing in front of the New Town Hall, for example, can use a slider on their smartphone or tablet to superimpose a photo from 1900 and one from the present day. This allows you to see in detail which parts of the façade were preserved after the renovation in 1949. In the Friedrich-von-Thiersch-Saal of the Kurhaus, on the other hand, you can see impressively what damage the hall suffered during the Second World War - and how the old splendor was restored piece by piece afterwards.

At present, 15 Wiesbaden sights are already available in the app and on the homepage. If you have historical pictures of Wiesbaden, you can register and simply make them available to the community.
