There is also a stop in front of the Kurhaus on the taster tour.

Stations taster tour

The tour does not include a visit to the interior of the buildings.

  • Kurhaus
The Kurhaus was the heart of the up-and-coming cosmopolitan spa town in the 19th century. Here you can find out what the inscription "Aquis Mattiacis" is all about and why Schiller, who was never in Wiesbaden, is still standing on the Warme Damm in front of the Staatstheater.
  • State Theater
  • Wilhelmstrasse
We continue on to Wilhelmstraße - also affectionately known as "Rue", which becomes the scene of Germany's largest street festival every July. This is where the bus lane was invented!
  • Market Church/Schlossplatz
Which is the tallest building and which is the oldest? You can find out on the market square, as well as the story behind the sculpture "Der Schweiger".
  • Market fountain
  • Wall alley
An absolute must is a visit to Mauergasse - Wiesbaden's pleasure mile with wine and champagne bars and the chocolaterie "Lily's Story", which of course also serves the famous pineapple tarts.
  • Neugasse
  • Touch model
The tactile model in the pedestrian zone provides an exciting view of the city from above. Here you can see why the city center is also known as the "historic pentagon", what is hidden behind the facades and how the house complex "das Schiffchen" got its name.

We'll give you lots more tips on how to linger, enjoy, stroll, explore and, of course, come back!
