THermine - the little light rail
From the "Tour de Wiesbaden" to the children's radio play ride and the "Tour de Biebrich - Henkell Freixenet", exciting rides await tourists and locals alike.
Free shooting star shuttle with the THermine
A "Tour de Wiesbaden in Christmas spirit" is offered by the THermine, Wiesbaden's little light rail, on weekends in November until December 15. There is also the "Sternschnuppen Shuttle" with the THermine, which connects the Sternschnuppenmarkt and the Kindersternschnuppenmarkt on Luisenplatz, the WinterStubb on Mauritiusplatz and Wiesbaden on Ice in front of the Kurhaus and departs every half hour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 1 pm and 4.30 pm from Dern'schen Gelände and the corner of Mauergasse (in front of the Depot).
Tour de Wiesbaden
The approximately fifty-minute "Tour de Wiesbaden" is the classic city tour of the Hessian state capital. The THermine and Lili streetcars show guests the most interesting sights Wiesbaden has to offer on this popular sightseeing tour. Your journey begins at the market square in the heart of the city and takes you along the luxurious Wilhelmstraße to the magnificent Kurhaus and the internationally renowned Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden. The tour then continues to the Neroberg and the Russian Church.
Tour de Biebrich - Henkell Freixenet
From June to September, every Saturday at 4 pm, the THermine runs the two-hour "Tour de Biebrich - Henkell Freixenet" from the "Markt" stop to Biebrich Palace and back. The ride is enriched by an entertaining informational text presented by Nick Benjamin.
On the way back, THermine makes a stop at Henkell Castle.
During a 90-minute break in the journey, passengers can explore the magnificent marble hall at Henkell Castle and take part in a guided tour of Wagner's winery (not barrier-free), including tasting a glass of "Henkell dry" or "Henkell non-alcoholic".
Radio play trip for children
Together with her grandfather, the curious Maxi travels with Thermine through her home town of Wiesbaden. She wants to hear as many exciting stories as possible from her grandfather. But Maxi also has her own magical and mysterious story to tell, which not only amazes her grandpa, but also all THermine guests young and old ... Have fun with an exciting conversation between Maxi and her grandfather during a THermine tour - a mixture of educational city tour and entertaining radio play!
Hessisch Gebabbel in the Bähnche
Are you planning a group tour with THermine? If you want to have a hearty laugh, accompany the charming Rheingauerin Rita and the smart Schorsch with your guests on a comedic THermine ride.
Experience a scenic ride in which the buildings of the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden that pass you by form the backdrop for a unique comedy on 12 wheels - based on a text by the author and THermine operator Andreas P. Wagner.
Rita and Schorsch, who were once a couple around thirty years ago, reflect in understandable dialect on their past, present and - at least if Rita has her way
and - at least if Rita has her way - their future together. And if you don't understand a word or two, Rita will be happy to explain it to you and her Schorsch. Or do you know what a "Flubscher" is? No? Well, then have fun on the THermine ride "Hessisch Gebabbel im Bähnche"!
