Every detail and decorative element seems to come from a bygone era. The staircase is still called a staircase, the walls are crooked and the ceilings are low. Yet the kitchen and bathrooms are bright, modern and contemporary, and even the Wi-Fi works smoothly.
During the extensive renovation of the house, as much of the building fabric as possible was preserved and the rest was faithfully restored to its original state. For example, there is a single surviving window on the second floor, which the other windows in the house were modeled on. And in order to get as close as possible to the original look, the windows were fitted with recycled old glass. From today's perspective, the restoration using natural materials such as clay, straw and lime is highly sustainable and ecological.
The Wiesbaden district of Auringen is around 20 minutes from the city. Guests of the vacation home appreciate the tranquillity of the village and use their stay for excursions to Wiesbaden and the nearby Rheingau, Taunus and surrounding areas.
The Bed & Breakfast in the old Auringer Mühle mill is also located in the Auringen district - idyllically situated on the Wickerbach stream and surrounded by lush green meadows.

The three double rooms are named after the view they offer. There is a stream room, a meadow room and a forest room. The two rooms on the upper floor of the house share a bathroom.
The hosts Monika Sulzer-Wiedemann and Rolf Wiedemann live in the house and lovingly look after their guests. In the morning, a delicious breakfast is served in the house next door.
Guests are welcome to use the beautiful garden and courtyard with seating at any time. In June and July, the Wiedemanns' wine tavern opens here. In addition to the cider they produce themselves, they also offer other wines with delicacies from the region.
If you want to travel to Wiesbaden city center, it takes 20 minutes by S-Bahn to get there. It is even quicker by car.
Cyclists and hikers are also very welcome. The European long-distance hiking trail E3 passes right by the Auringer Mühle before climbing into the Rheingau mountains.
A listed gem from the Wilhelminian era Casa Kettenbach
The "Villa Breckenheim", built in 1904, is a listed gem from the Wilhelminian era. It is picturesquely situated in a small side street of the village square in the quiet Wiesbaden district of Breckenheim and combines nostalgia and modernity.

The heirs of the property, the Kettenbach couple, extensively renovated it in 2015. Only the original building materials such as clay, straw, hemp and reed were used. At the same time, state-of-the-art energy and smart home technology was installed in the two residential units.
The owners rent out the vacation apartments, which have been awarded four stars, with the credo "stylish temporary living". The "boarding houses" are made available with a hotel-like cleaning and laundry service for short or long-term stays.
The two apartments "Berge" and "Wein" each have two high-quality furnished rooms with first-class technical equipment, a modern kitchen and a spacious bathroom.
Wiesbaden city center can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
Landhaus Diedert is still a genuine family business. It is run in the second generation by the three Diedert siblings, supported by their partners and a great team of loyal employees. Here, the boss still does the work himself and sets the highest standards of service and quality to satisfy his guests.

The adjoining restaurant and chef Nicolas Sieberling's cooking crew create internationally inspired dishes with fresh, seasonal and regional ingredients. In summer, guests can enjoy them on the beautiful terrace under the plane trees.
The Diedert family took advantage of the lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic to renovate the restaurant. The restaurant is now bright and modern, but still cozy and traditional thanks to the preservation of old elements. The old monastery, from which the first hostel was created in 1979, originally stood exactly where the guest room around the bar is now located.
The guest house with its individually furnished rooms and apartments is located next to the restaurant and offers a wonderful view of the countryside. The French country house style has been combined with modern furnishing elements to create a harmonious blend. Old and new create a harmonious overall picture.
Wiesbaden city center can be reached from the Klarenthal district in ten minutes by bus or car. This tasteful and service-oriented country house is a great option for guests who want to live close to the city and yet in a quiet, green setting.

All three vacation apartments in the Schmuckkästle have a beautiful view of the small inland port on the Rhine. The thought "It's always nice by the water" automatically comes to mind. Of course, it's best when the sun is shining.
The view from the "Storchennest" apartment is particularly special, as the side window looks out onto the famous stork's nest on the chimney - Schierstein's landmark.
Diana Neymeyer and her husband bought the half-timbered house, which is over 300 years old, in 2011 and spent seven years painstakingly renovating it by hand in the evenings.
They even installed and adapted the kitchens in the apartments themselves. You really get the feeling that everything here has been carefully thought through. Every object tells a story - like the large church clock on the façade, which comes from Diana Neymeyer's home in Baden.
The couple also brought the Baden wine with them from there. Their own wine shop offers a large selection of Burgundy wines from the family winery in Baden.
The location at Schierstein harbor between Wiesbaden and the Rheingau is perfect for excursions in the surrounding area. The connection to public transportation is excellent. The cycling and hiking trails are well developed.
From the roof terrace of the houseboat, which is moored in the Rheinport harbor, the view glides undisturbed down the arm of the Rhine to the church tower of Kastel.

Letting your gaze wander over the water as far as the horizon is something we are used to doing at the lake or by the sea. We rarely have this pleasure near the city. Not so on the Villa Nautica houseboat.
It is idyllically situated in a side arm of the Rhine between Kastel and Wiesbaden-Biebrich at the end of the jetty.
Villa Nautica feels like a small vacation apartment. Guests prepare their own meals in the kitchen. The bathroom and shower are similar to those in a camper. Not luxurious, but very cozy - like "glamping on the water" says Mrs. Steiger. She and her husband own Villa Nautica. They live nearby and like to use the houseboat with their three children for a short vacation themselves.
With the flat-screen TV, sound system, induction hob and coffee machine, the furnishings are high-quality and comfortable.
Wiesbaden is about 10-15 minutes away by car. We recommend taking a bicycle with you.
The houseboat is suitable for anyone looking for rest, relaxation and deceleration.

Guests appreciate the large balcony or loggia with seating. Many like to come here again and again when they visit Wiesbaden.

A stay here is ideal for anyone who wants to live in a quiet yet central location close to the city center and feel at home in the elegant Art Nouveau character of the upscale vacation apartments.

The Frauenstein district of Wiesbaden is known as the "gateway to the Rheingau" and is beautifully situated in the middle of the vineyards. The hiking trails start directly behind the Weinhaus Sinz: the Wiesbaden Wine and Nature Trail and the Rheinsteig also pass by here. There is even a monument in the form of a pyramid dedicated to Goethe's visit to Frauenstein: the Goethe Stone. And the famous German poet famously knew where it was beautiful in the world!
The traditional Sinz House has been in existence for over 50 years and will soon be run by the fourth generation of the Sinz family. In addition to the main house, guest rooms are available in three surrounding annexes: the Landhaus Sinz, the Sinzschen Höfchen and the Rebenhof Sinz.
All rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. Breakfast is served in the traditional and cozy restaurant of the main house.
Many regular guests have appreciated the Sinz family's hospitality and good service for years. Father Klaus and son Niklas are the chefs responsible for high-quality, down-to-earth food and drinks. Traditional atmosphere and coziness can be found in the guest rooms. Wine naturally plays a special role in the restaurant. Of the 30 bottled wines on offer, six come from the family's own vineyard.
The Welle 22 houseboat offers a unique combination of nature and luxury. The all-round glazing of the spacious living/dining area gives you the feeling of being completely immersed in the surrounding river landscape of the Rhine.
The tastefully and modernly furnished houseboat is located in the first row of the idyllic little marina, from where you can reach Biebrich Palace in Wiesbaden in just a few minutes. The floating home was named after the year it was built. It has been moored in the Rheinport marina in Mainz-Kastel since June 2022. Its proximity to Wiesbaden and the Rheingau region makes it the perfect starting point for excursions into the city and nature.
The Faber couple have made their dream come true and enjoy using the hideaway themselves. Master carpenter Alexander incorporated his expertise into the interior design. The result is impressive: modern boat architecture meets a modern industrial-style interior.
The spacious living/dining area is complemented by two bedrooms that offer enough space for up to three adults or a family with two children. The kitchen and bathroom have also been furnished exclusively and with great attention to detail.
The sun-protected roof terrace with its comfortable sun loungers is the perfect place to socialize and relax in summer.
The special feature: Welle 22 can be booked as a mobile event location for up to eleven guests. The owner drives guests along the Rhine at a leisurely pace and knows the best places for a picnic in the meadows.
