Ways and tips for schools in Wiesbaden on how to purchase paid apps for their tablets and install them on their tablets via Mobile Device Management.
Purchase of apps from school board funds
You can purchase apps in 2 easy steps with budget funds from the school board.
Step 1:
App orders can be placed with the MZ at any time by informal notification in text form.
Notification must be made by SL or with SL in the CC.
The notification must precisely name the apps and number of licenses, preferably with a link to the AppStore.
The school is responsible for data protection in accordance with HSchG § 83 and § 83a. The mandatory data protection review process specified by the SSÄ must be complied with. This means that the school must enclose a signed recommendation for use from the SSA's app checklist with the order. The school data protection officers have access to this list.
Step 2:
The MZ purchases the apps and assigns them to the school in the MDM. Allow up to 1 week.
The MZ sends the school an invoice.
Alternative method for schools that independently use an Apple School Manager account and have co-administration rights in Jamf School:
Purchase credit and recharge account. Retail gift cards cannot be used. Credit is purchased via specialist retailers, e.g. the TeacherStore.
Can be found in SAP under: Alpha Computer Sales GmbH; GP no. 1387623, e-mail: teacherstoreacsgroupde
Buy apps in the VPP store and assign them to the iPads in Jamf School.

Enter the desired budget for app purchases in the form.
Wait for approval of the application by the SSA.
The SSA informs the MZ independently about the notified app budgets.
