With love, Hilde
We recommend the biographical feature film "In Liebe, Eure Hilde" by renowned director Andreas Dresen as a current film that deals with resistance under National Socialism.
It is said that "In Liebe, Eure Hilde" is "a film about the power of love and humanity" (ZDF ASPEKTE) - and that is precisely what makes this biographical feature film by award-winning director Andreas Dresen so special. It shows the lives of resistance fighters Hilde and Hans Coppi in an unembellished and uniquely sensitive way. In a kind of collage on different time levels, which themselves follow their own chronology, he tells of the life and love of the two. The tenderness of an emerging love and the formation of a family stand in stark contrast to the cruelty of the Nazi regime, of which the couple became victims. The pupils were deeply moved and affected after the screening of the film.

To the content
Hilde and Hans Coppi fought against the tyranny of the National Socialist regime in the "Rote Kapelle" resistance group. The film tells of Hilde Coppi's final months and her ordeal in a women's prison, where she gave birth to a son, and of her murder in Berlin-Plötzensee. In flashbacks, however, he also tells of the great love between her and her husband and of their joint resistance. Her fate exemplifies the inhumanity of the Nazi regime.
