Bowling green and Kurhaus forecourt

The extensive outdoor areas around the Kurhaus provide the ideal setting for outdoor events.

In front of the Kurhaus is the 10,000 square meter Bowling Green, which, together with the Kurhaus forecourt, is ideal for large open-air concerts with up to 12,500 people seated and up to 20,000 people standing.

Great artists such as Elton John, David Garrett, Sting and many more have played here. However, orchestral and classical concerts also find a special setting here. The versatility of the outdoor areas also provides a unique backdrop for public viewing events or open-air sports activities.

The Kurhaus forecourt is often used for automobile presentations or as a start/finish area for (motor) sports events.

"Wiesbaden on Ice"

In winter 2023/2024, the Bowling Green became the venue for Germany's largest mobile ice rink, "Wiesbaden on Ice". On the 2,500 m² ice rink in front of the backdrop of the illuminated Kurhaus, it was possible to perform extensive pirouettes. Five curling rinks could also be hired exclusively by companies, for example for a winter company event.

In addition, catering establishments with tents were set up along the ice rink so that visitors could also enjoy a wide range of culinary delights.
