Meetings in one of the most sustainable congress centers and at the same time get to know the relaxed atmosphere of the city during a supporting or group program?
Wiesbaden, as the gateway to the Rheingau region and only 20 minutes from Frankfurt Airport, offers the ideal locations for business events, customer events and congresses with the RheinMain CongressCenter for up to 12,500 people, the historic Kurhaus Wiesbaden and the Jagdschloss Platte.
Together with other German destinations and hotels, WICM GmbH was on the road at the Pre-IMEX USA/Canada Roadshow in Vancouver/Canada, Seattle (WA) and Los Angeles (CA) at the beginning of October to present its portfolio for event planners with highlights such as the Business Festivals. Together with the three other German partners, a total of 15 appointments were held with 22 customers. Well-known companies such as Houlihan Lokey, based in Los Angeles, and Meet Prestige in Vancouver were visited on site. Planners from HelmsBriscoe were invited to the Happy Hour in San Diego.
Overall, Wiesbaden received a lot of curious and enthusiastic feedback as a congress destination. The proximity to Frankfurt International Airport and the event options were particularly convincing. Supporting and group programs as well as event-related services, such as an evening in a castle, on a boat on the Rhine or a wine tasting in the neighboring Rheingau region, also make an event in Wiesbaden a special highlight that is attracting particular interest in the Anglo-Saxon market.
The programme, which was organized by the German Convention Bureau (GCB), was aimed at MICE organizers in America and Canada, who were able to get to know the destination's offerings on site, without the hustle and bustle of the trade fair.
Participation in the Live Destination Showcase in the UK
A few weeks ago, the WICM team was in England to take part in a one-day GCB workshop with MICE organizers from the London area. The special highlights of Wiesbaden, with conference venues within walking distance, direct connections to the city center and the consistent focus on sustainability - at the venues, but also at the tourist facilities, were very well received and direct booking requests were received.
GNTB Roadshow Canada & USA
Together with the German National Tourist Board (GNTB), Wiesbaden was also present at the GNTB Marketplace. In the cities of Toronto, Boston (MA) and Atlanta (GA), the tourist destination WIESBADEN RHEINGAU, together with the Historic Highlights of Germany, presented itself to travel agencies and local buyers with its range of cultural and culinary attractions and the beautiful architecture and landscape.
