Schloss Freudenberg
The architect Paul Schultze-Naumburg built the palace in 1904/1905 for the painter Pitcairn-Knowles and Marie Eugénie Victoire Guérinet in the neo-Classicist style. On the north-eastern side the building has a wide flight of stairs which lead to the three main entrances.
On the square floor plan the rooms are distributed over four storeys and 1,600 square meters of floor space.
The city of Wiesbaden has leased Freudenberg Palace to the Gesellschaft Natur & Kunst (Society of Nature & Art) for a nominal rent since 1993. The Society set up the Field of Experience for the Senses and the Mind which offers visitors a world to be explored by touch.
