Poet District
The buildings in the Poet District represent a wide range of styles within Historicism and at the same time graphically reflect the development of flat block construction. Gutenbergplatz, the entrance into the Poet District, and Mosbacher Straße were opened in 1900. Two years later, other streets were developed (named after Wieland, Scheffel, Schenkdorf, Niederwald and Kleist), and in the period to 1910 the neighbourhood of the Kleist and Klopstock streets.
