Nassauische Sparkasse
Rheinstraße 42 - 46
Duke Adolf founded the Nassauische Landesbank in 1840 in the course of transforming his Duchy into a modern state.
In 1861/62, Richard Görz built the eastern wing along Rheinstraße where the Nassauische Sparkasse is still located. Under the round-arched windows of the original Naspa building there are rectangular fields decorated with rosettes; decorative details also adorn the half columns. In 1914-16, Carl Moritz added an extension; an additional harmonious extension was added in the 1960s.
