Arcades
In 1826/27, Building Officer Jacob Zengerle realised the Brunnenkolonnade, or Kurhaus arcades, along the northern side of the Bowling Green. Their rooms house the casino's Kleine Spiel gambling hall and provide space for events as well. In 1839, the Building Officer Karl Friedrich Faber added the southern "New Arcade" which, since the construction of the new royal theatre, bears the name Theatre Arcade. With the exception of the six-column projection which accents the entrance to the opera house, the southern arcade is a mirror image of the northern arcade. There is a pavilion at the eastern and western ends of the rows of Dorian columns of both arcades.
